Elementary teachers representing all ten elementaries, Literacy Coaches, New Trails Early Childhood teachers and Instructional Coaches have recently received training in LETRS, Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling. LETRS is a district-wide initiative to enhance Communication Arts for students.

Curriculum camps are being held the week of July 27 to assist in finalizing an articulated curriculum, K-12. The trainings have been held at the Raytown Schools Education and Conference Center.
