High School music programs earn high marks at state music festivals

The Raytown High School and Raytown South High School music programs recently participated in state music festivals.

Raytown High School’s Camerata and Concert Choir both received Exemplary "1" ratings for their performances. The Men's Choir and Women's Choir both received Outstanding "2" ratings for their performances. The choirs are under the direction of Alex Kolster.

Raytown High School’s Symphonic Band received an Exemplary “1” rating for their performance. The Concert Band received an Outstanding “2” rating. The bands are under the direction of Joseph Hill. 

Raytown High School’s Symphonic Orchestra received an Exemplary “1” rating for their performance. The orchestra is under the direction of Amy Sadler.

Raytown South High School’s Cardinal Chorale and Concert Choir both received Outstanding “2” ratings for their performances. The choirs are under the direction of Gretchen Kemp. 

Raytown South’s Symphonic Band earned an Outstanding “2” rating for their performance. The band is under the direction of Brandon Hord.

Raytown South’s Symphonic Orchestra earned an outstanding “2” rating for their performance. The orchestra is under the direction of Suzannah Smith.
