Challenge Program Identification Process

Awareness and Referral

Initial awareness of eligibility may come from achievement test scores, teacher referrals, or parent referrals. The child’s parents are then contacted for permission to evaluate the child.

Data Gathering & Identification

Information is gathered from parents, teachers, student test data (Williams and Renzulli checklists and norm-referenced achievement and intelligence tests).

Contact/Placement

Upon completion of the evaluation process, parents are contacted with the results of the evaluation. Children who have qualifying scores will need parental permission to enter the program. Students who have qualified for the Raytown Quality Schools Challenge Program are not required to re-qualify in later years.
