Senior Planning Calendar

September through June

Complete college visits and interviews, talk with visiting college representatives, and begin filing your college applications in the guidance office.

SEPTEMBER

• Begin filling out college applications.
• Register for a fall ACT examination.
• Contact colleges and request scholarship information.

OCTOBER

• Continue filling out college applications.
• Contact colleges and request scholarship information.

NOVEMBER

• Early Decision application deadlines (including early decision financial aid application).
• Contact colleges and request scholarship information.

DECEMBER

• Notification of Early Decision candidates (let your counselor know).
• FAFSA is available. Cannot be filed until after January 1st.

JANUARY

• Complete FAFSA and send as soon after January 1st as possible.

FEBRUARY - MARCH

• Many local scholarship applications are due during this time.

APRIL

• Notification of college acceptances and rejections.
• Follow up on applications where needed.
• Notify guidance counselor of college decisions.

MAY

• Finalize contract with college you will attend.
• AP Tests offered.
