Robinson Elementary opened in September 1959, and is one of two schools in the Raytown C-2 District named for persons who made significant differences in Raytown. The 32 acres on which Robinson stands was the gift of the Luther Robinson family. Mr. Robinson was a prominent business person in the community and served on the school board for 27 years. He was born on the exact site of the school. Current Robinson students have the Racoon as their mascot

We recognize that creating a safe learning environment is a critical part of helping each child achieve academic success. As part of the district's efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology and maintain fiscal responsibility, the district has transitioned from paper to electronic flier (eflier delivery). To publicize content that supports the basic educational mission of the district and/or benefits the population of the district in a positive manner, the Raytown C-2 School District uses Peachjar, a free online service for schools, to post approved efliers so that they are accessible to parents, staff and students as wanted/needed. Raytown School District Professionals were recognized by the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MoASBO) and Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for completing training and certifications.
The Raytown C-2 School District is partnering with the Jackson County Health Department (JACOHD) to host onsite COVID-19 vaccine and back-to-school immunization clinics for Raytown C-2 students aged 12-22 who are new or returning for the 2021-2022 School Year.
Student-athletes from Raytown South High School represented the District at the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) State Track and Field meet in Jefferson City on May 28.
Under the recommendation of these health organizations, the Raytown C-2 School District will continue to uphold the procedures put in place on May 5, 2021.
