Raytown South High School has recently been awarded the Top 100 distinction from National Forensics League (NFL) for the fourth consecutive year. The list designates the top 100 schools in debate and forensics participation from the more than 3,000 who have participating teams.
The NFL began their Top 100 list in 2006, and Raytown South has been on the list since its inception. In 2006 South High was 79th, in 2007 they were 92nd, in 2008, 61st, and in 2009, 90th.
NFL promotes high school and middle school speech and debate activities as a means to develop student’s essential life skill and values and has the vision that every child in the United States will be empowered to become an effective communicator and critical thinker.
