HCC Returns to Hybrid Schedule and Begins Second Semester
We are excited to welcome students back to second semester beginnging 1/20/21. B day students will return to campus on 1/21/21 and A day students will return 1/25/21.
Reminder: Winter break will be Wednesday, Dec 23 through Friday, Jan 1. Classes will resume on Monday, Jan 4 with virtual learning. We hope you and your family have a safe and relaxing Winter break!

Herndon Career Center Moving to Hybrid Schedule 10/26
The Board voted to bring Herndon Career Center and Southland CAPS to a hybrid schedule on 10/26. Parents and students, please be on the look out for more information being sent this evening.

Chef Mike Chrostowski, Teacher of the Year Speech
Herndon Career Center Culinary Instructor Chef Mike Chrostowski is this year’s Raytown School District Teacher of the Year. Chef expands on the importance of making connections with students and helping them continue to pursue what they are passionate about. Chef also shares more about the Raytown Schools Culinary Arts Institute and student run restaurant Cinder. Chef was also one of six teachers selected as a Kansas City Regional Teacher of the Year by the University of Missouri – Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center.
Chef Chrostowski led the culinary team to state titles in 2018, 2019, and 2020, a national title in 2018, and national runner-up title in 2019, and the team qualified for nationals in 2020. Over the past three years, students on the culinary and management teams have earned a combined total of $2,224,000 in scholarship funds.
