How do I enroll for Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp?
Enrollment is done through our SISK12 Parent Portal. You will need to login with your username and password. https://sisk12.raytownschools.org/

When does Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp enrollment open?
Enrollment for Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp 2023 will open on March 20th, 2023.
The deadline to enroll in Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp 2023 is May 5th for all students currently enrolled in the Raytown School District.
Deadline for students not currently enrolled in Raytown schools is April 28th.
Students are enrolled as a first come first served some classes have limited spaces available. -
When is Summer School?/Summer Enrichment Camp
The first day of summer school/Summer Enrichment Camp will be Thursday, June 1st.
There will be no school on Monday June 19th for Juneteenth.
The last day of summer school/Summer Enrichment Camp will be Thursday, June 29th. -
What are the Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp locations this year?
● Raytown High and Raytown South High students will attend Raytown High (7:15-2:20)
● Raytown Middle, Raytown South Middle, and Raytown Central Middle students will attend Raytown South High (7:50-2:55)
● Blue Ridge will host students from Norfleet and Blue Ridge (8:30-3:35)
● Spring Valley will host students from Westridge and Spring Valley (8:30-3:35)
● Fleetridge will host students from Little Blue and Fleetridge (9:05-4:10)
● Laurel Hills will host students from Eastwood Hills and Laurel Hills (9:05-4:10)
● Southwood will host students from Robinson and Southwood (9:05-4:10)
● Northwood will host students from Raytown Success Academy and Northwood (8:30-3:35)
● New Trails students will attend at New Trails (9:05-4:10)

Will bus transportation be available for Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp?
Bus transportation will be provided for students who live within the transportation boundaries and who enroll by the May 5th enrollment deadline.
Bus transportation is only available for students who live outside the parent responsibility zone.
Bus transportation will only be provided for AM & PM routes. Students choosing to enroll in only 1 course will need to provide mid-day transportation.
Student schedules and transportation information will go out the last week of school.

Is my student able to attend a different Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp site due to babysitting/daycare needs?
Yes, students who wish to attend a different Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp site due to daycare/babysitter transportation need will be able to fill out the Summer Boundary Exception Form after they complete enrollment.

How do I know if my student's enrollment was accepted?
You will receive two confirmation emails.
The first email will confirm that your application was completed and submitted.
Once your enrollment application has been received, processed, and accepted, you will receive a second email letting you know that your student is enrolled for Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp. This email will confirm the grade and summer site that your student has been enrolled in.
Student schedules and transportation information will go out the last week of school.

Student schedules and transportation information will go out the last week of school. You will receive an email from transportation with bus information the week of May 29th.

What do I need to enroll my incoming Kindergarten student in Summer Enrichment Camp?
- Families with students currently attending Three Trails Preschool or New Trails Early Learning Center, parents/guardians will be able to login to their SISK12 Parent Portal to enroll their student for Summer Enrichment Camp.
- Families with students currently attending the Raytown School District, who need to add their incoming kindergartner for Summer Enrichment Camp will need to visit their SISK12 Parent Portal to add their new student. A proof of birth for the kindergartner will be needed.
- Families of incoming Kindergarten students who are new to the District will need to create a SISK12 Parent Portal login to add their incoming kindergarten student for Summer Enrichment Camp. Parents will need to provide:
- Proof of Birth
- Proof of Residency
- Parent ID
Please be aware that Summer Enrichment Camp enrollment is separate from enrollment for the 2023/2024 school year. Fall enrollment will still need to be completed through the Residency and Enrollment office.

What do I need to enroll my current Kindergarten - 7th grade student?
Current kindergarten through 7th grade students who currently attend a Raytown District School will just need their parent/guardian to login to their SISK12 Parent Portal to enroll for Summer Enrichment Camp.

What do I need to enroll my current 8th - 12th grade student in Summer School?
Current 8th through 12th grade students who are currently attending a Raytown District school will need to know which courses are needed for first-time and/or recovery credit.
Please check with your student's counselor if not certain.

Is Before and After School care available during summer?
Great Expectations Before and After School Care (GE) is a fee-based program providing extended day services for elementary school-age children during Summer Enrichment Camp.
Registration and fees are done online at www.ezchildtrack.com/greatexpectations. There is a $25 single - $35 family non-refundable/ non-transferable registration fee. Before and after care is available on a space available basis. Contact the GE business office at 816-268-7086 or email greatexpectations@raytowschools.org for more information.
GE will begin enrolling for summer before and after school care on April 3rd, 2023.

My student doesn't attend a Raytown School, can they attend Raytown Summer School/Summer Enrichment Camp?
Yes, please use our application for students who aren't currently attending to enroll your current K-12 student. The deadline for enrollment is April 28th, 2023.

Will my child be offered an incentive for attending?
This year we are excited to offer students with good attendance a chance to be entered to win fun prizes along with weekly FUN Friday events for the whole school!

Am I able to volunteer in my child's summer classroom?
Yes!
We are excited that this year's Summer Enrichment Camp will have several opportunities for you to volunteer in your child’s classroom. We are looking for volunteers to help our students through several hands-on STEM learning opportunities and as field trip chaperones.

Will my student be able to go on a field trip?
Students attending Summer Enrichment Camp in grades 1-5 will attend exciting and educational field trips. Past field trips have included: Beanstalk Children's Garden, Kansas City Zoo, BizTown, Reed Performing Arts, and more!
Students in grades K-8 will be able to experience fun and educational in-school assemblies from local community partners, the Kansas City Zoo Zoomobile, and more!

Can I go on my child's field trip?
Yes!

Can I take classes online?
All summer school classes will be in-person for 2023 Summer School.

Are my course selections a guarantee of enrollment?
Counselors will place students in the most appropriate summer school courses based on credits needed for graduation and space available. Students may make course requests that counselors may take into consideration while enrolling. Please be aware that course requests do not guarantee enrollment into a summer school course.

When can my student pick-up their device for summer school?
All students will check-in and return their devices on the last day of school, May 26th.
Students taking in-person course during June will receive their device during 1st hour on June 1st.
