🎉 Celebrate RQS Day — November 13, 2025

Raytown Quality Schools invites our entire community to join us for RQS Day 2025, a district-wide celebration of school pride, community spirit, and all the reasons we love being part of Raytown!

Show Your Raytown Pride

On Thursday, November 13, we encourage all students, staff, families, and community members to celebrate by:

  • Wearing red, blue, or your school colors/spirit wear

  • Sharing your school pride on social media using #RQSDay

  • Taking part in special spirit activities happening across the district

Let’s fill our schools and community with Raytown pride and show everyone what makes RQS such a special place to learn and grow!

❤️ “Why I Love My School” Contest

In partnership with the Raytown Educational Foundation, we’re once again hosting the RQS Day Contest: “Why I Love My School.”

How It Works

Students are invited to share—through their own creativity—what makes their school special. Submissions can include:

  • Artwork 🎨

  • Writing ✏️

  • Photos 📸

  • Videos 🎬

Entries will be judged by a panel of district and community representatives. Winning entries will be featured on RQS social media and recognized by the district!

Important Dates

  • Submissions Open: October 27th

  • Submission Deadline: November 4th, 2025

  • Winners Announced: November 12th, 2025

Submission Guidelines

  • Open to all students of Raytown Quality Schools

  • Each student may submit one entry per category

  • All entries must be original work created by the student

  • Entries should reflect positive and sincere sentiments about why you love your school

  • Avoid inappropriate language or content

  • Judging Criteria: Entries will be evaluated based on how uniquely and creatively you express your thoughts, how clearly you communicate your love for your school, and how well your submission aligns with the theme of the contest

Winners will receive a $100 gift card — awarded to one elementary and one secondary student in each submission category.
