2014 Bond
April 2014 Refresh Raytown Schools Bond Issue
On December 9, 2013, the Raytown C-2 Board of Education voted to place the “Refresh Raytown Schools” Bond issue on the April 8, 2014 ballot. Raytown voters supported the issue, passing it at nearly 80%. Completed projects were maintenance oriented, and included roofing, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs and upgrades. The District also placed electronic sign boards outside of all school buildings, built a playable varsity stadium at Raytown South High School, remodeled the baseball/softball fields at Raytown South High School, and built a baseball/softball stadium at Raytown High School. Completed 2014 Bond projects also included secure, line of sight, guided entries at all elementary schools, Herndon Career Center, Northwood School, New Trails Early Learning Center, and Three Trails Preschool. Technology upgrades included a new chiller system. Projects began in the summer of 2014 and concluded in the summer of 2017. The PDF below shows a detailed listing of projects by building; however, it does not include the baseball/softball upgrades at Raytown High and Raytown South High as those projects were added after all other bond projects were completed.
