Event Safety and Security Guidelines

Raytown Quality Schools is implementing updated security measures and reminding families of important protocols for students, families, and spectators attending RQS sporting events, concerts, theatrical performances, and other school activities.

Weapons Detection Systems

Anyone attending an RQS event may be required to pass through a weapons detection system before gaining entry.

Student Entry Requirements

  • All Middle and High School Students (Home and Visitors): Must present a student ID to enter the stadium or theater. 
  • Elementary and Middle School Students: Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Students must remain supervised by an adult for the entire event.
  • Unsupervised elementary or middle school students will be asked to leave with their parent/guardian. 

Event Expectations  

  • All attendees should remain seated unless visiting concessions or restrooms.
  • Tickets:
    • Tickets must be purchased in advance on the GoFan website.
    • Tickets may sell out before game or performance day. 
    • Ticket sales will end when the stadium/theater reaches capacity or 30 minutes after the start of the final competition/performance (whichever comes first).
    • Once the gate closes, no additional entry is allowed.
  • Re-Entry: Once attendees exit the event, re-entry is not permitted.
  • Loitering: Loitering is prohibited. Anyone loitering in parking lots will be asked to enter the event or leave the premises. 

Security and Bag Policy

  • Attendees may be subject to a security check at the gate.
  • Backpacks are not allowed.
  • Small bags, such as purses, must be clear. 

Emergency Information

In case of emergency, staff will provide instructions over the PA system. Please take a moment to locate the nearest exit upon entering any RQS facility.
