The Raytown C-2 School District provides a summer program for every student free of charge. This program is designed to give all students a strong start to the fall semester. Summer school is a fun, interactive, educational program for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade in the fall of 2021. The program is designed to help students maintain the skills they acquired during the regular school year and help them obtain new skills for the following school year. In addition to mathematics, communication arts, and either science or social studies, students K-8 will engage in a variety of exploratory courses. Students who will be enrolled in grades 9-12 can earn first time credit, recover credit, or learn more about a particular topic during the summer. For most courses, high school students can earn a ½ unit of credit for successfully passing, and their course grade contributes to their overall high school GPA.
Two elementary attendance areas will attend one elementary:
● Blue Ridge will host students from Eastwood and Blue Ridge (9:05-4:10)
● Little Blue will host students from Norfleet and Little Blue (8:30-3:35)
● Laurel Hills will host students from Fleetridge and Laurel Hills (8:30-3:35)
● Southwood will host students from Robinson and Southwood (9:05-4:10)
● Spring Valley will host students from Westridge and Spring Valley (9:05-4:10)
Northwood and Raytown Success Academy Students will attend Northwood (8:30-3:35)
Enrolling in the Correct Grade Level
Students should enroll in the grade level they will be entering in the fall of 2021. For example, a child eligible for kindergarten in the fall will enroll in Kindergarten. A current 3rd-grade student will enroll in summer school 4th Grade.
Incoming 2021-2022 Kindergarten students
Parents of incoming Kindergarten students must complete Kindergarten enrollment starting March 15, 2021. Parents who are unable to complete Kindergarten enrollment will need to contact Residency at 268-7035.
Routes for summer school will be available by logging into the transportation infofinder on the district web page after May 29, 2021. No additional routing will be done after the May 7th enrollment deadline.

Before/After School Care
Great Expectations Before and After School Care (GE) is a fee-based program providing extended day services for elementary school-age children during summer school. Services are not mandated and participation is voluntary (terms and conditions apply). Registration and fees are done online at www.raytownschools.org on the Great Expectations website or by visiting www.ezchildtrack.com/greatexpectations. There is a $25 single - $35 family non-refundable/ non-transferable registration fee. Before and after care is available on a space available basis. Breakfast and lunch will be free for students attending Summer School. Lunch and breakfast will continue to be served in accordance with current USDA nutritional guidelines. Students will still have the opportunity to purchase a la carte items. A la carte pricing can be found in each café and can be located on the Raytown Food Service web page. Charges will not be allowed during Summer School for a la carte purchases.

For Students Not Currently Attending Raytown Schools: PAPER ENROLLMENT
Parents who reside in the Raytown School District and have a student not currently attending Raytown Schools must complete the “Students not Currently Enrolled in Raytown Schools” Enrollment Form packet in paper format. Completed packets must be delivered or mailed to Summer School, 10750 E 350 Hwy, Raytown, MO 64138 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by April 30, 2021. A separate form within the packet must be completed and signed by the student’s current principal and emailed to email@example.com . Questions?Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
