  • F&R Lunch Application Incentive

Currently, USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) has established waivers, allowing school districts to offer free breakfast and lunch for 2021-2022 school year. While this resource has had a positive effect on closing the gap in food insecurities in our district, it has had a negative effect on the number of free and reduced applications the district has received this school year.

It is important for all families who may qualify to fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch application because just by applying, families can help bring funding to Raytown C-2 School District students PK-12. Funding goes directly toward curriculum, teacher salary, family engagement, and more! These funds support student achievement and well-being.

In addition to free or reduced breakfast and lunch rates, families who qualify receive free or reduced rates on school and activity fees and discounts from outside organizations.

This year, every family that submits an application by Friday, January 14, 2022 will be entered to win a brand new 65 inch smart TV. This includes all applications submitted for the 2021-2022 school year. Families will be automatically entered into the drawing, and two winners will be selected at random. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email on or after Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
