How to Register Q & A

What you need to know before registering for care?

• Great Expectations Before and After School Care (GE) registration is separate from District enrollment and all students are required to enroll through Residency prior to registering for before and after school care.
• Registration for GE is not approved until your District enrollment is approved. GE does not hold seats for students who are not approved to attend school.
• A $40 single/$50 Family registration fee is due at the time of registration. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• We encourage all families to apply for Free and Reduced Lunch to see if you qualify for reduced fees. GE is working on accepting subsidy for the 2026-2027 school year. 
• Waitlist will form when sites are full. There is no registration fee to join the waitlist. Call our office at 816-268-7086 if you have waitlist questions or you may refer to the waitlist Q & A for more information. 
• State Subsidy: GE is working toward accepting subsidies for the 2026–2027 school year. We recognize that families may experience financial hardship and encourage all to apply for Free and Reduced Lunch, which may lower program fees. Please see the fee schedule for details.

 When does before and after school care registration open?

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year and will remain open until the beginning of May.

Can I use my cell phone to register?

Yes, the  GE registration process is mobile friendly. Registration is done through EZChildtrack.

Where is before and after school care located?

Before and after-school care is provided at all ten elementary schools from 6:30 a.m. until school starts and at school dismissal until 6 p.m.
