The Raytown C-2 School District provides a summer program for every student free of charge. This program is designed to give all students a strong start to the fall semester. RQS Summer School 2026 will take place from Friday, May 29th through Tuesday, June 30th. There will be no school on June 16th, June 19th, and June 25th. Enrollment for summer school will begin on March 23rd.

The deadline to enroll in Summer School is Friday, May 1st.

Summer School is a fun, interactive, educational program for students entering kindergarten through 8th grade. The program is designed to help students maintain the skills they acquired during the regular school year and help them obtain new skills for the following school year.

  • Students in grades K-5 will engage in fun and exciting hands-on STEM projects and PE, in addition to mathematics and communication arts.
  • Students in middle school - grades 6-8 will work on engaging and intriguing STEM projects while building their skills and understanding in several other middle school subjects.
  • Summer School is a great way for high school - grades 9-12 students to earn first time credit, recover credit, or learn more about a particular topic during the summer. For most courses, high school students can earn a ½ unit of credit for successfully passing, and their course grade contributes to their overall high school GPA.
