First Day of School - September 8Start of School Update: At last night's board meeting the decision was made to delay the start of school until September 8. For the first two weeks at a minimum, we will be holding classes virtually. This includes all Herndon and Southland CAPS programs. More decisions will be made at the August 10th board meeting, but we wanted to get information out as soon as possible. We've had some questions in regards to options for full school year virtual learning at Herndon. Due to the nature of our programs, that will not be an option. Our goal is be able to provide opportunities for students to gain their certifications and hands-on training. Of course, student and staff safety comes first. More specifics will be communicated as we get more information and decisions are made. We appreciate your patience. Please know that our programs are happening this school year, and we are excited to see students virtually to begin and in person when the time comes.
