Students Place in District FBLA Competition, Qualify for State Competition

Students from Raytown South High School and Raytown High School earned top honors in the annual Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) District competition on January 28 in St. Joseph, MO.

Raytown South High honorees who placed in the competition include Justice Thompson who placed first in Help Desk and Client Service; Donovan Cusick who placed first in Organizational Leadership, second in Impromptu Speaking, and fourth in Electronic Portfolio; Frank Lopez who placed fourth in Business Communication and fifth in the Personal Finance and Web Design events; Ahmea Parham who placed fourth in Public Speaking and fifth in Web Design; and Cilina Touch and Jack Burnos who placed fifth in Graphic Design.

Raytown South High students who qualified for the state competition, include Justice Thompson in both the Help Desk and Client Service events, Donovan Cusick in Organizational Leadership, and Frank Lopez in the Business Communication and Personal Finance events.

Raytown High Schools students who placed in the district competition include Brianna DiCapo who placed first in Personal Finance and fourth in Job Interview; Tiffany Lin who placed first in Spreadsheet Applications, fourth in Computer Applications, and fifth in Banking and Financial Systems; and Larry Wilson who placed third in Management Decision Making.

Raytown High students who qualified for the state competition include Brianna DiCapo in Personal Finance and Tiffany Lin in the Spreadsheet and Computer Applications events. 

Students from both high schools will also move on to compete in the FBLA State competition, which will take place April 19-21 in Springfield, MO.
