Raytown School District Announces the Hiring of Incoming Spring Valley Elementary Principal
The Raytown School District is pleased to announce the hiring of current Blue Ridge Elementary and Spring Valley Elementary Administrator Intern Melissa Gabbert as the incoming principal of Spring Valley Elementary beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.
Gabbert has previously served as a federal funding director, title I reading teacher, and classroom teacher at schools across the metro. She began her career as a classroom teacher in the Raytown School District in 2013, became an administrator intern in the District in 2016, and has served as a summer school principal in 2018 and 2019. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Master of Arts in School Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
“I am excited to continue the legacy of excellence as the new principal of Spring Valley Elementary. I am honored to have the opportunity to collaboratively lead the Spring Valley learning community in a common vision of achieving the highest standards of success,” said Gabbert. “Thank you to the Raytown School District for entrusting me with our most valuable treasures….our students.”
Gabbert will follow Dr. Judith Campbell and will assume duties as the principal at Spring Valley Elementary on July 22, 2020.
