Raytown High School’s Departments of Theatre and Music Present, Pippin

Raytown High School’s Departments of Theatre and Music present, Pippin, Feb. 18-20 at 7 p.m. with an additional matinee at 2 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the Raytown High School auditorium.

Pippin by Roger O. Hirson, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwart, is a musical comedy about the son of the almighty king, Charlemagne. Looking for his purpose in life, Pippin meets a group of storytellers guided by the Leading Player. They show Pippin the many avenues he could explore and just when he thinks he’s on the right track - he’s challenged with performing an unforgettable grand finale.

The principal cast includes Aiden Harkins as Pippin, Sereena Burton as the Leading Player, Judson Hulme as Charles, Joshua as Lewis, Cheyli Ferbet as Fastrada, Kylie Butler as Berthe, Clara Bryant as Catherine, and Parker Cobden as Theo. Other cast members include Marissa Johnson, Jordyn Hill, Naomi Gonterman, Lucas Mayo, Marques Alsup, Trinity Brown, Izzie Lawrence, Sariyah Shells, Angel Hernandez, Cal Hoffman, Maddie Berry, Kya Berry, Jessica Johnson, and Phenix Watson.

The crew is led by Ms. Sally Farrand as technical director and stage managers Phillip Stallings and Maggie Givens; and assistant directors Jordyn Hill and Cynne Soria. Other designers include Cheyli Ferbet (scenic), Cal Hoffman (sound), Rachel McCarroll and Naomi Gonterman (costumes), Izzie Lawrence and Clara Bryant (props), Judson Hulme (business/publicity), and Mesmariah Hall (hair/makeup).

The Raytown High School Theatre Department is under the direction of Katie Kolster. The Raytown High School Music Department is under the direction of Alex Kolster and Brenda Yeates.

Tickets can be purchased by going to and searching “Raytown.” Student tickets are $5, adult tickets are $8, and streaming tickets are $10.  Advance ticket purchase is required to accommodate social distancing and contact tracing, and masks will be required for all in attendance.
