Raytown High School’s Theatre Department Presents Lost In Yonkers

Raytown High School’s Theatre Department will present the play, Lost in Yonkers, by Neil Simon at 7 p.m., April 15-17 in the Raytown High School auditorium. This will be the first student-directed mainstage show at Raytown High School.

Lost in Yonkers, is a dramatic comedy that follows the story of teenage brothers, Jay and Arty, as they learn how to live with their ever so strict grandma, and their loveable but child-like aunt, Bella. Mystery arises when the boys find their troublesome uncle Louie hiding away from a group of dangerous mobsters, and tension boils between Bella and her mother when Bella takes on a love interest. Will the boys be able to adjust to their new home, or will they forever be Lost in Yonkers?

The principal cast includes Joshua McCarroll as Jay, Judson Hulme as Arty, Marques Alsup as Eddie, Naomi Gonterman as Bella, Katie Kolster as Grandma, Aiden Harkins as Louie, and Rachel McCarroll as Gert.

The crew is led by Ms. Sally Farrand as technical director, Clara Bryant as assistant director, Maggie Givens as stage manager; and Phenix Watson as assistant stage manager.

Other designers include Aiden Harkins as scenic designer, Lucas Mayo as lighting designer, Cal Hoffman as sound designer, Naomi Gonterman and Maggie Givens as costume designers, Cheyli Ferbet and Sereena Burton as props designers, Judson Hulme as business and publicity manager, and Jessica Johnson and Mesmariah Hall as hair and makeup designers.

Tickets can be purchased by going to and searching “Raytown.” Student tickets are $5, adult tickets are $8. Due to copyright restrictions, online streaming will not be available for this performance.
