District to Host Public Forum for Superintendent Search

With the pending retirement of Dr. Allan Markley at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year, the Raytown C-2 School District has begun a nationwide search for a new superintendent. Recruitment efforts are led by the executive search firm GR Recruiting and input from community stakeholders is key to this important work.

The Board of Education is inviting all staff, students, families and members of the community to participate in a Community Forum held:

Date: October 18 | Time: 6:30 p.m. | Location: Raytown High School Auditorium - 6019 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133

The open forum will allow stakeholders to attend and share their thoughts regarding traits and characteristics of a new superintendent. Additionally, the consultants will be asking those in attendance to identify challenges and opportunities the new superintendent will face.

Note: All attendees must wear a face mask at  this forum. If you do not have a face mask, one will be provided for you.

In addition, everyone is encouraged to complete the online survey. The survey is designed to measure the community's perception of the district and what characteristics are wanted in the district's next leader. The survey will be open until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19.
