Students from Raytown South High School and Raytown High School earned top honors in the annual Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) District competition on Feb. 2.
Raytown South High students who placed in the competition include Joshua Blew who earned first place in Economics, second place in Securities and Investment, and a wild card place in Accounting, Hanna Koger who earned fourth place in Electronic Portfolio; and the team of Hanna Koger, Derek Porter, and Anderson Styles who earned fourth place for their Social Media Campaign group presentation.
Raytown High School students who placed in the competition include Robert Strickland who earned seventh place in Personal Finance, Kayla Robertson who earned seventh in Word Processing, Leyah Colons-Hughes who earned ninth place in Emerging Business Issues, and Brianna Starr who earned tenth place Networking Concepts.
Raytown South High student Joshua Blew qualified to compete in the state competition in the Accounting, Economics, and Securities and Investment events. Raytown High Student Robert Strickland qualified to compete in the state competition in the Personal Finance event. The FBLA State Leadership Conference will be held April 14-16 in Springfield, MO.
